SEVENTY SEVEN PICTURES: Off road Ifield>Gatwick>Charlwood>Russ Hill>Prestwood>The Mount>Ifield 27 May 2017

Todays, mainly off road, bike ride took us approximately seven miles from Ifield Golf course to Gatwick, Charlwood, Russ Hill, Prestwood, The Mount and back to Ifield. We left the road at the footpath next to Brook Cottage near the Hyde Drive/Rusper Road roundabout and headed through the Brook Meadows to Ifield Church, along Rectory Lane & Tweed Lane and across the Mole up to Ifield Court.


From there we crossed Charlwood Road and followed the public footpath to Charlwood which runs across the field containing the landing lights which sits between the Lowfield Heath Road and Ifield Road.


After a quick pit stop at The Half Moon in Charlwood we took the footpath behind the church up Russ Hill and then dropped down across the fields to Prestwood Lane. At the end of Prestwood Lane we took the footpath through the ancient woods and the track that comes out on The Mount.


We then headed down to Rusper Road on the old track from the mount which comes out at the junction of Ifield Wood & Rusper Road. We then cut across a couple field to the North Western corner of Ifield Golf course, before passing the Hyde to arrive back at our start point.
